From the field to the lab
I am a Materials & Corrosion Engineering professional specialising in corrosion prevention, coating systems and materials performance in corrosive service environments. My hands-on work spans paints, base and top coats, powder coating, galvanizing, anodizing, CED (cathodic e-coat) and structural adhesive systems, with direct field exposure to offshore projects with Saipem and onshore Saudi Aramco-affiliated oil and gas projects.
I use root cause analysis, FMEA and CAPA to resolve material and coating failures, work to AMPP/NACE, NORSOK M-501, ISO 12944, SSPC and ASTM standards, and carry out technical evaluation of suppliers and vendors.
I am also pursuing a PhD in Materials Science, with published research on Inconel 625 and high entropy alloy (HEA) coatings, adding materials-engineering depth to my field and manufacturing experience.
